Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube. I will probably replace Level 1 with Level 2 anytime a Jillian Michaels mash up calls for it. That being said, I did get a mild workout from this level, with DOMS lasting a day. Maybe Level 1 of Yoga Meltdown works for someone else. JM Yoga Meltdown - Level 2 Review.

Product Description:
A unique fusion of traditional power yoga and hardcore body sculpting. Yoga purists beware — the poses may be familiar, but the goals, sequencing and “bad ass” attitude are pure Jillian Michaels. For example, Jillian knows that a classic yoga chair pose is similar to a squat.
So, she has you “rep it out” — 15 full-range-of-motion repetitions that end with an isometric hold. That technique is repeated throughout the entire workout. So, while there are lots of genuine yoga elements, Jillian's overall goal is muscle endurance (not “peaceful mind/body bliss”).
The first workout is easier; the second has some tough balance and flexibility moves (modifications are shown). ©2010.

It's a pretty basic DVD and there's really not much to say about it. If you know Jillian Michaels at all it's probably from her role as one of the head weight loss coaches on The Biggest Loser. She's that same kind of famous that Simon Cowell is, but people like her for helping them instead of liking Cowell for being a prick to people who clearly can't sing and are wasting his and TV Land's time. Thus, as the biggest recent name to emerge in personal fitness, she's maximizing the exposure and putting out all sorts of personally branded merchandise like this Yoga DVD. It's the first installment in a short series and won't challenge the experienced yogi too much, but it's good for beginners.
Each episode is 30 minutes long, perfect for a morning session before the trek off to work. It's arranged in a very typical Level 1 and Level 2 format with the option to do them back to back or to select them as separate entities.
Level 1 starts where many similar routines do with the vinyasa. It gradually moves forward into poses of slightly more strenuous endurance – but it never really gets too challenging. I guess that's why they call it Level 1. If you're using the DVD to get back into shape or to ease into Yoga, it's a good stepping stone, but any seasoned practitioner will find this a disappointing and lackluster opening number.
Level 2 steps up the work out noticeably taking that slight shift to endurance-based poses that you got a taste for in Level 1 and ratcheting it up even further. You'll be expected to hold a few key positions for a bit longer, and you'll find the positions more taxing in general. In the end though, it's a much more worthwhile outing than Level 1, and if you come back to this DVD more than once, chances are it will be for this half.
For only an hour's worth of workout material the price may seem a bit steep, but if you truly subscribe to Michaels's expertise and authority chances are that's why you're even considering the purchase. You're paying for the name of a current celebrity. If you're not comfortable with that, chances are you can find any number of better Yoga DVDs (by chances are, I mean there are dozens) and many of them will give you more for your buck than just 2 sessions on one disc. There's not even the typical “bonus” session that discs like this are wont to normally include. You really are paying for Jillian Michaels's name.
Do yourself a favor and seek out a better DVD disc. Whether you're just starting or are considering trying out this name brand, you can and will do better elsewhere. However, you won't be able to tell the other ladies that you watch The Biggest Loser and eat ice cream with that “She's helping me lose weight too.” How much is that worth to you?

He's a TV junkie with a penchant for watching the same movie six times in one sitting. If you really want to understand him you need to have grown up on Sgt. Bilko, Alien, Jurassic Park and Five Easy Pieces playing in an infinite loop. Recommend something to him - he'll watch it.
